Emmanuel Has Come
For this album, Don Moen was nominated in 1998 for Creator of the Musical of the Year in the GMA Music Awards, better known as the Dove Awards
One of the songs in the album is Emmanuel Has Come. It was written in the summer of 1995 by Don Moen. Speaking about why he wrote the song, Moen says,
I wrote "Emmanuel Has Come" to share that the real message in Christmas is in the word, Emmanuel, which means God with us. "More than just another story about a special time and place, Christmas is a time to lift a song of praise. For God is with us, and we celebrate the glory of His presence." I wanted to write a song that simply stated that "God with us, Emmanuel has come."

Give Thanks
Give Thanks was recorded during a live worship service at Covenant Church of Mobile, Alabama in July 1986. The recording featured worship leader, Don Moen, along with choir vocalists and members of the congregation. The focus of the musical release emphasizes God as Jehovah-Rapha (Hebrew: râpâ'), which is translated from the Old Testament as "the Lord, our Healer". The live recording was followed by an extended time of worship, which included several reports of physical healings.
In 1984, singer-songwriter, Don Moen was hired by Michael Coleman, co-founder of Integrity Media, which is known for producing praise and worship music series under their label, Hosanna! Music. Give Thanks was the first worship album recorded by Moen. Over the course of his 20-year career as worship leader, singer, and songwriter, he recorded and produced 11 volumes for the series of worship albums. As a platinum-selling recording artist, he has sold over five million units. Give Thanks has been highly successful for the label, selling over one million copies worldwide. He has gone on to record over 30 more praise and worship albums, receiving 11 Gospel Music Association Dove Award nominations. In 1994, he received the Dove for his work on God with Us, which was honored as the Musical Album of the Year.

I Believe There Is More
In regard to the title of the album, which is the title of the song from the 7th track of the album, Don Moen wrote in his blog:
I’m more convinced than ever that the title is appropriate. Not only does it reflect where I am personally in my ministry, but I have found that this is a theme that resonates with people all over the world. It was such a powerful experience in the studio when we recorded it.
The vocalists were all moved by the impact of what they were singing. That was the first time I had even considered this song as a title for the project. People everywhere are sensing that God has more for them to do. They are tired of the “status quo” lifestyle. My friend, I really do believe God has more for you to do. He has more for me to do. We have to be willing to step out by faith into the “new thing”, whatever it is that God has put in your heart. This certainly does not mean what you have done to this point is insignificant. I believe it was all preparation. God is NEVER finished with us and no matter what the enemy tries to tell you, God has more for you to do. I am thinking I need to write a book about this. There is so much here.

Hiding Place (Don Moen album)
Most of Moen's albums are live albums. However, Moen wanted to produce a studio album that would not have any applause, so that listeners would be able to enter God's presence. Speaking on this, he said,
But for this project, I felt that applause would fill up a lot of space that I wanted to leave free for people to 'steal away'; for a moment. The goal is to create an atmosphere that encourages people to enter into God's presence and applause isn't necessary for that to take place. So, I decided to make a change and take an unfamiliar road for Hiding Place.[1]
Thus, Hiding Place became Moen's first full-length studio album.
