Spurgeon's life and ministry occurred at a time in history when the Christian faith first came under the still ongoing assaults against God. Towards the end of his blessed life as the prince of preachers, Spurgeon witnessed the first hand rebirth of nature religion and worship, which was then rebranded and is still known as "evolutionism" today.
Marked by his tremendous fear of preaching, Spurgeon often had to be physically carried onto the pulpit by ushers, yet once he was there - he always delivered the most powerful presentations of the Word of God as any man has ever done before.
I see Spurgeon and his mighty gifts of God to preach the Word, as God's last great man sent to warn His children, and to spread the hope of salvation in Jesus Christ, just prior to the great falling away which began towards the end of the life of Spurgeon. As this great falling away continues to lead our nations into ongoing useless wars, violence in our countries, corruptions, and the ruin and eventual destruction of our once great lands, we all still have the opportunity to go back to Spurgeon's message, and from his message, back to Christ, and into the favor and love of God once more.
